Funnel Cake
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 2/3 cups milk (add more if needed)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Beat together egg and milk; set aside. Mix together the dry ingredients in a small mixing bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg and milk mixture. Beat until smooth.
- Heat oil to 375°F.
- Pour batter into a funnel. Slowly allow batter to fall into the hot oil. Swirl batter in a circular motion to form a spiral form cake.
- Cook until golden brown.
- Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
