Sugar Cookies

- 1 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 1/2 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup salt
- Cream butter and add sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time, stir in vanilla.
- Sift all dry ingredients and add gradually.
- Roll on well-floured surface.
- Bake on un-greased cookie sheet at 375°F for 6-8 minutes.
