| Ingenium 6.0 Knowledge BaseIn 2000, I implemented a Knowledge Base for the Ingenium product line. I developed this Knowledge Base using Microsoft Exchange. Articles were published into an Exchange Public folder and were categorized using the Category property. A custom Visual Basic application would extract the articles on a nightly basis, convert the “posts” into HTML pages and publish them to a website. The Microsoft Full-text Indexing engine would index the articles and attachments for searching. The most recent and highest priority articles for a specific version of the product were summarized in a “Product Center”. This was a one-stop shop for customers to find the latest product information.
